The Cove Waterfall Association held its 5th annual meeting on June 4th in Jasper, Georgia. The meeting was hosted by Canton Lodge # 77. Other lodges participating in the meeting were Hickory Flat Lodge # 205, Pickens Star Lodge # 220, Blaine Lodge # 534, and Ball Ground Lodge # 261.

The Masons gathered for fellowship prior to the program, as well as a hearty BBQ dinner. I was thankful to finally meet Edwin Lamour, whom I have been following on Facebook for quite some time.

The Dallas Fellowcraft Club of Dallas Lodge # 182 raised Fellowcraft Brother Donnie Wade Peppers to the sublime degree of Master Mason. The Grand Master of Masons in Georgia, F. Andrew Lane conferred the degree.

There were thirty-one lodges represented with 131 Master Masons registering for the door prize package of a knife, hat, pin, plaque, and decal. The prize was won by Jimmy Crump of Blaine Lodge. There were 37 past Worshipful Masters in attendance. The traveling gavel was given to Temple Lodge # 322 for traveling the longest distance to attend the meeting.

Edgar Land, Past Grand Master of Masons in Georgia, participated in the degree work. District Worshipful Master for District 9, Terry Allen and Keith Taylor, District Deputy for 9A were also in attendance. A good time was had by all even with the early rain shower and a heavier rain during the 2nd section of the degree. The lodge was moved inside to Pickens Star Lodge # 220 to complete the program.

Special thanks go out to Snead AG, Town of Talking Rock, Pickens Sherriff Office, City of Jasper and the Jasper Recreation Department for providing their support to the program.
