MORE MOTIVATING ACTIVITIES FOR TEA PARTIERS
3/19/2013 ~ by Nancy Davis
The March meeting of the Pickens County Tea Party will feature two speakers—Stephen Hall and Joel Foster:
Mr. Hall will bring us up to date on the status of the FairTax Bill in the U.S. Congress, HR 25. Stephen is a long-time resident of Pickens County, attending college, an ardent proponent of the FairTax, a young, up-and-coming conservative, and a tea party enthusiast.
Americans For Prosperity Georgia’s Joel Foster will bring AFP’s 2013 Education Freedom Tour to Pickens County, showing Georgians what the possible options are in better educating our children and preparing them as future leaders of our nation. Get a snapshot of what types of education options are available in Georgia now, what the research says about the future and how education freedom benefits students, teachers and parents! Get schooled on Georgia schools with this fast paced, fun presentation.
In April our Tea Party will hold our first monthly “Pickens County Round Table”. On the second Thursday of each month, the Pickens County Round Table will meet for lunch and informal, interesting discussion, at The Pueblo Grill, Hwy 53 West in Jasper, at 12 Noon. Join us for lunch and speak your mind. At the April 11 Round Table, Debbie Dooley, Georgia Coordinator for The Tea Party Patriots, will be with us to discuss the nation-wide “Precinct Project”. Attendance is free, plus your lunch choice.
Also in April and on the fourth Friday of each month thereafter, our Tea Party will be hosting “Friday Night At The Movies”, at 7PM. Bring your family and join us for movie night on Friday, April 26, for our showing of “Atlas Shrugged”, at Cornerstone Church, 145 Cornerstone Drive, in Jasper, Ga. Attendance is free, plus donations are accepted for meeting expenses.
We look forward to seeing our Pickens County friends and family at our Tuesday, March 26th meeting, 7:00PM, at Chattahoochee Technical College in Jasper. For further information, visit our website at www.pickenscountyteaparty.com
