Jasper Merchants Assocation Spring Fling

The Jasper Merchants Associationís Spring Festival is 3 great community events in 1 place. We invite you to come out to Lee Newton Park in Jasper on Saturday, April 15, 2017 starting at 9am and enjoy the day with the Jasper Merchants Association and our Sponsors for the following events.
The first event will be the 3rd Annual Jasper Springs Arts Fair from 9:00am to 3:00pm and will be held in the western Park-n-Ride lot located on Stegall Drive across the street from Lee Newton Park. Come and enjoy the day shopping for unique items from local vendors where you can find all kinds of handcrafted goods for the home and for that special someone in your life. There will be lots of home dťcor, ceramics, sculptures, paintings, pottery, and jewelry, handmade and homemade items. No yard sale type of items will be allowed at this event. The biggest thing about the Jasper Spring Arts Fair is that it is FREE to come out and set up a table for the day and it is FREE to come out and SHOP the vendors.
The second event will be the Spring Fling Family Fun Day with primary sponsor; Cool Springs Baptist Church from Tate, Georgia and secondary sponsor; Shiloh Baptist Church from Jasper, Georgia. Event time is 10am to 3pm and will be held in the back section of Lee Newton Park near the stage. This will be a fun filled day of childrenís activities to include a Bouncy House, Face Painting, Craft Tables, Food, and Live Gospel Music and tons of other fun. Later in the day before the main event, the Easter Bunny will make a surprise visit to have pictures taken with the kids. Come have fun with the kids in the park before the main Easter Egg Hunt. This event is OPEN TO ANYONE TO ATTEND. Proceeds from this event will benefit Cool Springs Baptist Church.
The third event is brought to you by the Jasper Merchants Association who is honored to Sponsor the 10th Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt of Pickens County along with the Easter Bunny Egg hiders, CoolSprings Baptist Church. The Easter Egg Hunt will be held in the front section of Lee Newton Park located off of Stegall Drive in Jasper. The Easter Egg Hunt will start at 1:30pm to 2pm. This event is FREE to ALL children of Pickens County under the age of 12 years old.
A special visit by the Easter Bunny will help start the event and the Easter Bunny will be present afterwards for pictures with the children. Photographs with the Easter Bunny will be offered by Mari of the website www.KnowPickens.com.
Children will be separated into three different age groups so that everyone will have a chance to find and pick up Easter Eggs placed throughout Lee Newton Park. The age groups are as follows; toddlers up to 4yrs old with one parent as a helper, 4yrs up to 8yrs old with no parents helping, 8yrs up to 12yrs old with no parents helping. Special Gold Egg for special rewards will be hidden in each of the age groups. The Jasper Merchants Association want to thank the following for the Gold Egg prize donations; Security Finance for 1 boy and girl basket, Lisa Rispoli for 1 boy and girl basket, Massage Envy of Canton for the main golden egg prize for the 8-12yrs old group, T-Mobile of Canton for the main golden egg prize for the 4-8yrs old group, and C. Shelley Repair of Jasper for the main golden egg prize for the infants to 4yr old group.
Keep Pickens Beautiful will have recycle bins at the Easter Egg Hunt for parents and children to place empty plastic eggs into as they finish the festivities. Pickens Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy will be attending the Easter Egg Hunt to register children under the age of 5 for the free book program.
