Donít forget to join in the fun while enjoying a beautiful 65 mile ride through the North Georgia scenic roads as part of the 7th annual Sgt. David Collins Memorial Bike Ride this Saturday, August 5. Registration for the American Legion Riders Post 149 hosted event will begin at 8:30 at Microtel Inn. Coffee and Bojangles biscuits will be provided with the ride beginning at 10.

The ride is open to any all bike enthusiasts who desire to support our local military veterans. Not a biker? Join the crowd in your truck or car. Registration costs are $25 per motorcycle/car and $5 additional for passengers. All proceeds will be given to the Post 149 Legion Post for the purpose of distributing to veterans as needs arise.

A police escort will accompany the riders for safety with the trip ending at Roccoís Pub. At that time, a special presentation will be made by our local Disabled American Veterans of Pickens County and the East Pt. TN Chapter of Rolling Thunder Bike Organization. Next comes more fun with a great raffle, door prizes, food and music. All riders will receive a ticket for the fabulous door prizes graciously donated by our local businesses. Non-riders have a shot of winning a prize with the purchase of the 2017 David Collins Memorial Ride T-shirt, sold for $15.

The event is named after Collins, but it honors all of our fallen heroes who have laid down their lives defending our freedom. We are proud of all of our veterans here in Pickens County. Show your support and enjoy the ride!
