Missionaries to Indonesia to talk at Cool Springs Baptist Church
On June 10th at 11:00 am, Cool Springs Baptist Church will have special guest speakers Scott and Jennie Phillips, missionaries to the Dao Tribe in Indonesia. There will also be a special performance by gospel quartet Glorybound.
Scott and Jennie have served the Dao Tribe as missionaries since 2003. They have worked diligently to translate the Bible into the Dao language, which previously had no written alphabet.
"We are honored to have this opportunity to learn about Scott and Jennie's efforts and experiences in Indonesia. Our children in our Wednesday night Bible study have been learning about the Phillips, and when we were offered the chance to host them at Cool Springs we were delighted," says Pastor Steve Wigington.
The Phillips are working to disciple tribal believers and train them as teachers to their own people. In such a remote area, with little to no access to education, this can be problematic. That's why they are currently working to provide 1000 Solar Audio Bibles to these remote people, at a cost of $25 each. They are 40% to reaching their goal.
