The review of the Community Assessment and Participation Program which
is a part of the Joint Comprehensive Plan has been reviewed and approved by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA).
Adopted Resolution Amending the Pickens County Land Use District
Ordinance Map in regard to Parcel 043B-047 composed of 1.08 acres from Rural Residential (RR) to Neighborhood Commercial (NC) with the following condition attached: (1) All buffer requirements as outlined in Section 67—10.5 of the Pickens County Land Use Ordinance must be met.
(Application for change in land use classification requested by Chad & Becky Lingefelt – property located at 134 Old Cove Road South.)Amendment #43.
Signed Proclamation to proclaim April 20 – 26, 2008 as Administrative
Professionals Week and the day of April 23, 2008 as Administrative Professionals Day in Pickens County.
Bid opening was held on Friday, April 11 at 10:00 a.m. for cleaning the
Administrative offices and 9-1-1 building. Three bids were received: Maid My Day - $49,340; Mountain Air Cleaning - $30,000; Greg Hammontree - $48,000. Mountain Air Cleaning was low bidder and was awarded the one year contract.
