Inc. of Ringgold, Ga. for the design of the renovation and addition to Burnt Mountain Center in Jasper, Georgia. Cost of $38,700.00.
Signed Intergovernmental Agreement between Cherokee County and Pickens County for Paramedic and EMT-1 Training.
Adopted Resolution In Support of Prescribed Fire.
Signed Lease Agreement by and between Pickens County and North Georgia Community Action, Inc. to certify that the Pickens County building known as the Pickens County Senior Center located at 400 Stegall Drive, Jasper, Georgia, shall be made available for use as a Nutrition Site for the North Georgia Community Action, Inc. Nutrition Project for the Elderly, for the period from January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008.
Adopted Resolution amending the Pickens County Land Use District Ordinance (Ordinance #67) Map in regard to Parcel 031-003-001 composed of 71.25 acres from Agricultural (AG) to Rural Residential (RR) with the following conditions: (a) Public water must be utilized within the proposed development. (b) Total number of lots will be limited to 31. (c) Primary access to proposed development must utilize Lance Road rather than Hidden Creek Circle. Amendment # 36.
Adopted Resolution amending the Pickens County Land Use District Ordinance (Ordinance #67) Map in regard to Parcel 031-016-021 composed of 1 acre from Agricultural (AG) to Suburban Residential (SR). Amendment #37.
Bid opening for dump truck was held in the Commissioner’s office @ 9:15 a.m. on Friday, December 21st. Two bids were received: Lawson Chevrolet of Jasper - $90,000; Nextran Truck Center of Kennesaw - $106,018.24 with a $1500 rebate which leaves $104,518.24. Bid was awarded to the low bidder, Lawson Chevrolet.
