   1. Adopted a Resolution authorizing the Pickens County Fire Department to Form a Mutual Aid Resource Pact which shall be a Public Corporation; To Render and Receive Aid and Assistance for Disastrous Incident Suppression, Prevention and Rescue/Medical Responses to/from Members of the Georgia Mutual Aid Group.
   2. Adopted a Resolution Establishing/Joining the Georgia Mutual Aid Resource Pact.
   3. Signed Georgia Indigent Defense Services Agreement with the Circuit Public Defender Office of the Appalachian Judicial Circuit, the governing authority of Fannin County, the governing authority of Gilmer County, and the governing authority of Pickens County.
   4. Awarded striping contract to Parker Traffic Markings for striping of Hill City Road, Lumber Company Road, Monument Road and Jerusalem Church Road. Amount of contract - $94,913.85.
   5. Submitted the annual update of the Community Assessment and Public Participation Plan for the period 2008 - 2028 to DCA for Regional review, as per the requirements of the Georgia Planning Act of 1989.
   6. Signed contract and agreement with Norman & Associates for appraisal Services. Amount of contract $64,000.
   7. 7Signed Proclamation declaring March 2008 as American Red Cross Month.
   8. igned Technical Service Support Agreement with Medtronic Emergency Response Systems, Inc. Effective date is 6/1/08 - expiration date 5/31/09. Cost: $4,110.
   9. Adopted Resolution Adopting Dogwood Trail Extension in Wildwood Subdivision and Heart Pine Lane in Grandview Cove Subdivision into the Pickens County Road System.
   10. Adopted Resolution Adopting Lumber Oaks Lane (located in the Lumber Oaks subdivision) into the Pickens County Road System.
   11. Adopted Resolution Adopting the following roads in Saddle Ridge Subdivision into the Pickens County Road System: Arabian Court (393 Linear Feet), Horseshoe Bend (933 Linear Feet), Saddle Ridge Trace (1991 Linear Feet), and Appaloosa Court (349 Linear Feet).
   12. Adopted Resolution Appointing William Dilbeck to the Pickens County Planning Commission to replace Johnny Garrison, who resigned. The term ends December 31, 2010.
   13. Signed Joint Proclamation designating April 2008 as the official cleanup month in Jasper and Pickens County.
