The Georgia Department of Natural Resources Historic Preservation Division
has notified us that the Griffeth-Pendley House here in Pickens County was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on April 16, 2008.
Signed Proclamation designating the year 2008 as the 170th Anniversary of the Trail of Tears in the County of Pickens in the State of Georgia.
Adopted Resolution appointing Janice Sly to the Pickens County Library Board of Trustees to fill the unexpired term of Jean Curran who resigned. The term ends June 30, 2011.

Adopt Resolution amending the Pickens County Land Use District Ordinance
In regard to Parcel 037-063 composed of 4.26 acres from Highway Business (HB) to Rural Residential (RR). Application for the change was made by Deborah Edwards and the property is located on 12890 Hwy 53 West. Planning Commission recommended rezoning to be approved.
