   1. Adopted Resolution approving the Master Plan and Code Book for the Potts Mountain Project.
   2. Opened bids on August 30, 2007 @ 10:00 a.m. for Old SR 5 re-surfacing – Tate to Nelson City Limits . Four bids were received: 1) C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc.- $304,320.65; 2) Northwest Georgia Paving, Inc. - $308,083.41; 3) Colditz Trucking, Inc. - $325,072.50; 4) Blount Construction - $336,733.10. Bids were reviewed and the contract was awarded to the low bidder, C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. Amount of contract: $304,320.65. Contract was signed on September 14, 2007.
   3. Signed Agreement for Transit Operating Assistance Between the Department of Transportation State of Georgia and Pickens County (Federal Transit Act, 49 U.S.C., Section 5311 funds)and Sewer Authority to complete the unexpired term of Shane Harwood which ends December 31, 2007.
   4. Adopted Resolution Appointing Members to the Development Authority of Pickens County. Mark Whitfield, John Robert Pool and Ross Fletcher re-appointed for a six year term beginning September 9, 2007 and ending September 8, 2013.
   5. Signed Federal Aid Highway Resolution for the Georgia Department of Transportation to request approval from the Federal Highway Administration to revise the Highway Functional Classification System in Pickens County: Reclassify a section of Antioch Church Road (Pickens County Road 250) from a Rural Minor Collector to a Rural Major Collector, beginning at its intersection with State Routes 5 and 515 and extending in a northeasterly direction to its junction with State Route 136 (Talking Rock Road). (This would add the section to the State Highway System.)
   6. Signed Department of Transportation County Right of Way Agreement for .79 miles of Base & Paving on Upper Salem Church Rd. (CR 1020) designated as Project Number PR000-S010-00(756).
   7. Signed Proclamation proclaiming the month of September 2007 as National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month.
   8. Adopted Resolution Amending the Pickens County Land Use District Ordinance (Ordinance #67) map in regard to Parcel 019-062-001 Composed of 2.005 acres from Industrial (I) to Rural Residential (RR).
   9. Bid opening for Annex Renovation was held on August 23, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. Two bids were received: J.K. Lockwood Co. - $239,925 and C.D. Dunn Construction Co.- $218,760. Bids were reviewed and bid was awarded to the lowest bidder - C. D. Dunn Construction Co. of Jasper, Ga.
   10. Signed contract with C. D. Dunn Construction Co. for Courthouse Annex renovation. Contract amount: $218,760.
