Adopted Resolution re-appointing Freda Neighbours to the Pickens
County Board of Tax Assessors for a five (5) year term beginning
January 1, 2009 and ending December 31, 2013.
Signed Proclamation declaring Tuesday, February 10, 2009 as James (Lou)
Chastain Day in Pickens County, Georgia.
Approved Standard Operation Guidelines to establish policy and procedures
for the Pickens County Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
Signed cooperative lease agreement for Rural Fire Defense by and between the Georgia Forestry Commission and the Pickens County Fire Department.
Signed Rural Fire Defense Memorandum of Understanding between
Georgia Forestry Commission and Pickens County Fire Department.
(Primary purposes : 1) Provide for closest possible cooperation on
mutual objectives. 2) To clarify the purpose and responsibilities of
each organization.)
Signed Memorandum of Understanding between Pickens County
Government and Wildcat Community, Inc. concerning building of
the Monument Road Fire Station.
Bids on the Monument Road Fire Station were opened on Thursday,
February 19, 2009 @ 1:30 p.m. in the Commissioner's Conference
Room. Ten bids were received and are now being reviewed.

Adopt Resolution of the Pickens County Commissioner Amending the
Pickens County Land Use District Ordinance Map in regard to Parcel
009-048-002 composed of 19.67 acres from Agricultural (AG) to
Rural Residential (RR) with conditions attached: 1) Mr. Longino
will obtain access to the county road system or state highway
system per current land development standards. This access may
be owned by Mr. Longino, not an easement across someone else's
property. 2) Or, Mr. Longino will limit construction on the above
described property to two residences with current access.
Adopted Resolution Adopting and Amending Chapter 16, Chapter 38, and Chapter 54
of the Code of Ordinances of Pickens County, Georgia. Modifications are shown in Exhibit A attached.
Adopt Resolution Adopting and Amending Chapter 38 of the Code of Ordinances
Of Pickens County, Georgia to effectuate the action taken at the March 13, 1998
Pickens County Commissioner's Meeting . Utilities. 38-253. Underground Utility Placement.
Modifications are shown in Exhibit A to this Resolution which is attached.
Adopt Resolution Adopting and Amending Chapter 18 of the Code of Ordinances of
Pickens County, Georgia by adding modifications for Article III, Peddlers and Itinerant
Traders as shown in Exhibit A to this Resolution which is attached.
