Get ready for over a week of patriotic fun as Jasper celebrates Independence Day!

Festivities kick off early on June 28th with community picnics, concerts, and free family events downtown, leading right up to the Jasper Lions Club's Annual Independence Day Celebration. A full carnival with rides, games, and vendors will take over Lee Newton Park from Wednesday, July 1st through Sunday, July 5th.

The week culminates on July 4th with the grand "America 250" parade down Main Street, afternoon bingo, and a spectacular evening fireworks display. Whether you're looking for family-friendly activities, live music, or classic fair food, this year's community-wide celebration has something for everyone!

FULL AMERICA 250 EVENT SCHEDULE

SUNDAY, JUNE 28
4 PM: Community-wide Picnic in Perrow Park.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a cookout!

6 PM: Free "God & Country" Concert at First Baptist Church of Jasper (198 E Church St), featuring the Roman Festival Brass Band playing hymns, movie themes, and patriotic favorites.

7:30 PM: Prayer Vigil for Operation Red Wings Mission at Veterans Memorial Park


MONDAY, JUNE 29
6 PM: Free Family Movie Night featuring the movie "1776" in Perrow Park (Downtown Jasper)
Bring your lawn chair, blanket, and a picnic.


TUESDAY, JUNE 30
6-8 PM: Free Kids Event at the Kirby-Quinton Cabin (Next to the Old Jail)!
Open to all, featuring Story Telling with Betsy Ross, Face Painting & Art Activities for Kids


WEDNESDAY, JULY 1
5 PM: Time Capsule Burial at Veterans Memorial Park
To be opened in 50 years - July 1, 2076

5 PM: Carnival rides and vendors open in Lee Newton Park.*

6 PM: Round 1 of "Jasper's Got Talent" at Lee Newton Park's stage.


THURSDAY, JULY 2
5 PM: Carnival rides and vendors open in Lee Newton Park.*

6 PM: Round 2 of "Jasper's Got Talent" at Lee Newton Park's stage.


FRIDAY, JULY 3
5 PM: Carnival rides and vendors open in Lee Newton Park.*
8 PM: "Jasper's Got Talent" winners announced at Lee Newton Park's stage.
Winners will perform on July 4th between the featured band's sets right before the fireworks.


SATURDAY, JULY 4
8 AM: Parade check-in and line-up begins on Mark Whitfield Street (behind Tequila Bar & Grill).

10 AM: "America 250" Parade down Main Street, emceed by 101.1 The Pulse.
Want to enter? Cash prizes awarded ($50 for 1st Place, $25 for 2nd Place). Entry fee is $15 on or before June 25, and $25 after June 25 (fee includes units of up to 4 vehicles, $5 per additional vehicle).

Afternoon TBA: Carnival rides, vendors, and entertainment open at Lee Newton Park.

Time TBA: Bingo held at the Chamber of Commerce pavilion in Lee Newton Park.

10:05 PM: Fireworks Display! Fireworks are shot from the field across from Lee Newton Park and will be viewable throughout downtown Jasper.


SUNDAY, JULY 5

5 PM: Carnival rides and vendors open.*


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Carnival Details: The carnival runs from July 1 - July 5.
*NOTE: Opening and closing times for the rides are subject to change depending on the weather. Please check at the entrance to the rides for the latest daily times.

Vendors: Set up your booth at Lee Newton Park! The $150 fee covers a 20'x20' space for the entire carnival run (July 1-6).
