NOTICE
Pursuant to Sec. 94-208 of the Zoning Ordinance for the City of Jasper, a public meeting is scheduled before the Planning Commission on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Jasper City Hall located at 200 Burnt Mountain Road, Jasper, GA to discuss:
1. A request by applicant Jennifer Mabrey on behalf of PREDL, Inc., the owner of approximately 7.74 acres zoned M-1 General Industry district located at 453 Hood Road (Parcel JA03 109) for the following variances from the City of Jasper Zoning Ordinance:
1) Variance to Sec. 94-96(c)(1)(c) to increase the allowed metal on publicly-visible exterior building facades from 10% to 80%;
2) Variance to Sec. 94-96(c)(1)(c) to utilize prohibited stock pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) skins;
3) Variance to Sec. 94-96(c)(2)(a) to reduce the required fenestration on publicly-visible exterior building facades from 35% to 6%; and
4) Variance to Sec. 94-96 (c)(2)(b) to eliminate the requirement to provide fenestration or entryways every 20 linear feet along the southeast building facade.
The requested variances will accommodate the development of a new office, warehouse, and manufacturing facility for PREDL, Inc. on the property.
2. A request by applicant Gary Brandon on behalf of Pemberg-Mackey, LLC, the owner of approximately 4.2 acres zoned C-2 General Commercial located at 55 Burnt Mountain Road (Parcel JA07 008) for a variance from the City of Jasper Sign Ordinance Sec. 95-17(b)(3)(b)(1) to increase the allowed building sign area from 24.1 square feet to 32 square feet for tenant signage on the front facade of JC'S Family Market.
Pursuant to Sec. 94-209 of the Zoning Ordinance for the City of Jasper, a public hearing is scheduled before the Mayor and City Council on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Jasper City Hall located at 200 Burnt Mountain Road, Jasper, GA to discuss the recommendation of the Planning Commission for the above referenced request.
