Memorial Day is not a celebration but a remembrance of those who are no longer with us. Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.

Memorial Day Service, hosted by Marine Corps League #1280, on Monday, May 26th at 10 am at Pickens County Veterans Memorial Park (Lee Newton Park) in Jasper, GA.

The guest Speaker will be Retired Lieutenant Colonel Leon Millholland (USMCR) and Commandant of Marine Corps Leaque Det 1280.
