Pickens County School District will host an information session on April 23 at 6 pm at the Pickens Junior High Auditorium to introduce the upcoming PCSD Virtual Academy, launching in the 2026-2027 school year.

The PCSD Virtual Academy will offer a full-time virtual learning option for students in grades 6-12, providing rigorous, high-quality instruction through a digital platform. Designed to support flexible scheduling, course recovery, and other non-traditional learning pathways, the program emphasizes strong academic expectations, accountability, and student support-while preparing students for college, careers, and living-wage employment.

The April 23 session will cover enrollment and eligibility, academic and graduation requirements, student and parent responsibilities, and expectations for success, with time for questions and answers. Families are encouraged to attend to learn more about this new opportunity.
