MORE INFORMATION
Patriot Day is a United States national observance that honors the memory of those killed in the September 11 attacks. It is not a public holiday; therefore, government offices, educational institutions, and businesses do not close.
On Patriot Day, the national flag is flown at half-mast on all United States government buildings and establishments. Individuals are encouraged to display flags in their homes.
Everyone is invited to attend the Patriot Day ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park on Wednesday, September 11. The event, which will commence at 1:00 P.M., will include a flag-raising ceremony, a moment of silence, and a speech by our guest speaker, Tim Prather, Pickens County Fire Chief. The entire ceremony is expected to last for about an hour. It is a solemn occasion where we come together to honor the memory of the September 11 attacks victims.
Everyone is invited to attend this event.
