Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 8th of September 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia.
The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from:
1. Justin Burke to rezone a 1.5-acres of 7.86-acre tract known as parcel 018 030 005, located at 108 Willow Lane, from Small Agriculture (SA) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to create two lots.
2. Ava Rogers to rezone a combined 12-acre portion of a 33.34-acre tract, known as parcel 053D 079, from Agricultural (AG) to Highway Business (HB) and Rural Residential (RR). A one-acre portion is being requested to be taken to Rural Residential (RR) is for the purpose of combining with a neighboring lot. An 11-acre portion is being requested to be taken to Highway Business (HB) with the intent to sell. The remaining 21.34-acres will remain Agricultural (AG).
The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on October 20th, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
