Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 9th of February 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from:
1. John Edward Gier to rezone a 1.2-acre tract known as parcel #062A 038, located at 2297 Henderson Mountain Rd, Jasper, GA 30143, Rural Residential (RR) to Highway Business (HB). The purpose of this request is for Special Use.
2. LANDRoCo, LLC dba R4 Investments to rezone a 145.988-acre tract known as parcel # 055D 107, located on Pettit Rd, Jasper, GA 30143, from Agricultural (AG) to Small Agriculture (SA), Estate Residential (ER) and Rural Residential (RR) . The purpose of this request is to create a major subdivision.
The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on March 17, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
