Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 10th of November 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from:
1. Howard Vallimont to rezone a 1.5-acre of an 8.27- acre tract known as parcel 040 081, located at 494 Hill City Road, from Agriculture (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to allow for an additional buildable lot.
2. Tina Davis Thomason to rezone a 6.39-acre tract known as parcel 034 084 201, located at 486 Big Ridge Rd, from Small Agriculture (SA) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to create two lots.
3. Wesley Babcock to rezone a 12.81-acre tract known as parcel 043 015 002, located on Cove Road, from Agriculture (AG) to Small Agriculture (SA). The purpose of this request is to create two lots.
4. Karyn Smith for a Conditional Use Permit Amendment on a 20-acre tract, known as parcel 065 010, located at 834 Worley Crossroads to allow for Additional Events and Concerts.
5. John Halko & Willie Johnson to rezone a 2.98-acre tract known as parcel 029B 101, located at 865 Lumber Company Road, from Rural Residential (RR) to Rural Business (RB). The purpose of this request is to allow for continued use as a Residence and Business.
The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on December 15, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
