Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 12th of January 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from :

1. Hankins Properties on behalf of Louise Brown as Trustee of the Floetta B. Lumpkin Rev Trust, to rezone an 8.1-acre tract known as parcel 049 040 002, located at Highway 53 East, Jasper, GA 30143, from Agriculture (AG) to Highway Business (HB). The purpose of this request is to create a commercial use property.

2. Teena & William Coogle, to rezone a 6.02-acre tract known as parcel 032 051 008, located at Highway 53 West, Jasper, GA 30143, from Rural Residential (RR) Rural Business (RB). The purpose of this request is to create photography studio and residence.

The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on February 9, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
