Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 13th of October 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from:

1. Adriana Filip, to rezone 12.42+/-acres of a 15.17-acre tract known as parcel 050 033 218, located at 1682 Fortner Rd, Jasper, GA 30143 from Agricultural (AG) to Estate Residential (ER) & Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to create three lots.

2. Big South Real Estate Holdings, LLC, to rezone a 3.29-acre tract known as parcel 053A 086, located at 734 Harmony School Rd, Jasper, GA 30143 from Rural Residential (RR) to Highway Business (HB). The purpose of this request is to create three commercial buildings and to turn an existing residence into office space.

The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on November 16, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
