[ January 12, 2026 ] With the 2026 Legislative session beginning Monday, January 12, Representative Rick Jasperse is setting his sights on affordability and public safety for District 11.

In his latest update, Jasperse highlighted the financial achievements of the previous session, noting that over $3 billion was returned to Georgia taxpayers through refunds and permanent income tax rate reductions. Education also remains a top tier priority; the Representative noted recent strides in school safety funding and the expansion of student mental health access.

Beyond his role as Chairman of the Transportation Committee, Jasperse has been engaged with the Joint Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Insurance Rates. He indicated that upcoming legislative work will likely target high insurance costs, Homestead Property tax reductions, and the continued effort to eliminate the state's personal income tax.
