Get ready because from Thursday through Sunday, Vist Pickens mapped out the top things you won't want to miss!

THIS WEEKEND'S HIGHLIGHTS by VISIT PICKENS

Thursday, September 25, offers a chance to explore Downtown Jasper with a Sip & Shop event at various local businesses and cafes. In the evening, Talking Rock Brewery hosts an Open Mic Night with RustedMelody, while Sharptop Distilling Co. offers its own Open Mic.

Friday, September 26, is filled with a variety of unique experiences. The Tater Patch Players have a performance of their play, "Lickety Split: Men & Women in Outrageous Shorts," at 7:30 PM. For those who love a good challenge, Hard Hitting Trivia is happening at Talking Rock Brewery, and the Historic Old Jail is hosting a September Paranormal Training Investigation. You can also explore flavors with "A Taste of India" at Woodbridge General Store.

Saturday, September 27, is packed with events, starting with the Jasper Farmers Market at Lee Newton Park. Talking Rock Brewery is hosting an Oktoberfest celebration, featuring live music by The Shetlands at 4 PM. In the evening, the Tater Patch Players have another performance of their play, and you can catch live music from a variety of bands at locations across the county.

Sunday, September 28, offers a matinee performance of the hilarious "Lickety Split" by the Tater Patch Players. The day is also filled with live music performances and a Paint & Sip event at Fainting Goat Vineyards.


NEXT WEEKEND The Georgia Marble Festival

Next weekend, get ready for the Georgia Marble Festival! Mark your calendars for October 4-5, 2025, to celebrate Pickens County's rich heritage as the "Marble Capital of Georgia." The festival kicks off on Saturday with a 5K Road Race, 1-Mile Fun Run, and a Parade. You can explore the world-famous marble quarries, enjoy live demonstrations, and take the kids to the free Kids Zone.

Festival admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children (ages 6-12), veterans, and seniors. Children 5 and under are free. Quarry tours, which include festival admission, are $20 for adults and $18 for seniors and children (ages 6-12). Free parking and shuttles are available at Chattahoochee Technical College and Ingles Market. This is a rain or shine event, with no smoking or pets allowed.
