Rotary to Dedicate Holocaust Children?s Daffodils at The Peace Park 2 pm Sunday

[ March 27, 2021 ] Rotary's Peace Park is aglow with 1,000 daffodils planted by the Rotary Club and Pickens County Master Gardners last fall! They were grown to build a Living Holocaust Memorial in memory of the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust and children suffering today!

The flowers will be dedicated Sunday, afternoon March 28 at 2 pm in a community program highlighting the yellow daffodil as a symbol of hope. Also, their blooms are shaped like the stars Holocaust victims were required to wear.

Rotary?s Peace Pole professes "May Peace Prevail" in eight languages and is symbolic of the oneness of humanity!

The Monument and garden are located at Roper Park behind the Boys & Girls Club and Jones Community Center.
