[ March 22, 2023 ] Melanie Sigler, Executive Director of the Georgia Association of Middle School Principals, announced today that Dr. Chad Flatt, Principal of Pickens Junior High School, has received year's National Distinguished Principal. Dr. Flatt won the 2021 Georgia Distinguished Principal Award that qualified him for this National distinction.

The NAESP National Distinguished Principal program honors outstanding elementary and middle-level principals who ensure that America's children acquire a sound foundation for lifelong learning and achievement. Each year, NAESP congratulates principals from across the nation, in both public and private schools, and overseas, for exemplary achievements.

Dr. Flatt will be recognized at the Summer Georgia Association of Educational Leaders conference and participate in a national ceremony in Washington, D.C.
