[ April 03, 2023 ] There are only two more chances to see Steel Magnolias, by Robert Harling, at the Tater Patch Players Theater. Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8, both at 7:30 PM, will be the final shows. There is no performance on Easter Sunday.

During this run, there have been several shows sold out, so please get your seats while they last at www.taterpatchplayers.org/buytickets. Tickets may be bought in person at the box office beginning one hour before the curtain goes up. The theater is located at 95 Philadelphia Lane in Jasper and the phone number is 706-253-2800.

If you have been wanting to be on stage yourself, your chance is right around the corner. Auditions will take place on Sunday, April 16, from 5-6:30 PM and Monday, April 17 from 6-7:30 PM for the next play at Tater Patch Players, Independence Day at Happy Meadows, by Laura King.

The director will be Phyllis Zerkle, who's currently playing Annelle in Steel Magnolias. This is be a zany comedy about a group of residents of a senior living home who decide to stage a break out. The cast consists of five "older" women, one "middle aged" woman, and one "middle aged" man. Remember, we can age you up (or even down) with makeup, so come out, audition.
