Jasper Farmers Market Report
Louise Jones along with her son Lamar and daughter Shelia, Jones Family Farm, brought beautiful radishes, spring onions and bok choy to the market Saturday. They grow their produce in high tunnels, which helps them get an extra early start.

[ April 11, 2023 ] Well, last week got off to a blustery wet start that saw tents flying! This week was literally a wash out except for some brave souls who stuck it out until closing time. And each of those last 5 vendors had beautiful veggies like radish and spring onions, lettuces and kale, plus, much more!

Blue Roo Farms had chicken and duck eggs. Plus, there were plenty of seedling tomatoes and peppers to be had.

Steve Alexander brought his hydroponic lettuce and radish microgreens.

Zach Henson vegetables sold out early and was long gone by noon.

Brieanna came with her new trailer filled with her custom wearables but sadly, decided she was not selling mops that day. (smile, folks!)

Keep your fingers crossed that next weekend will not be so dramatic and Y'all can come out to fill up bags with great garden goodness! Let's keep shopping local and supporting our Jasper Farmers Market vendors. They have been so excited to get this year's market going, but Mother Nature will have her way.

Please, come on down to Lee Newton Park to the Park N Ride parking lot across from the Veterans Memorial Park. The market opens at 7:30 am and lasts until noon.

The Jasper Farmers Market is sponsored by the Pickens County Master Gardeners and this is the 23rd year! Mother Nature is sponsored by a Higher Power.
