PICKENS COUNTY LIBRARY IS OPEN!
Sequoyah Regional Library System (SRLS) has announced that the Pickens County Library, which has undergone renovation and expansion since summer of 2021, is now open. The finished renovation includes the addition of 8,200 square feet to the building. With an expanded and renovated library facility, the Pickens community will have more space for books and technology; larger areas for programs, meetings, collaboration, and creation; and additional seating for study and quiet reading. PICKENS COUNTY LIBRARY SPACE HIGHLIGHTS
The newly expanded and renovated Pickens County Library has a space for everyone! Whether you're looking to study in one of our conference rooms, researching your family history in the Georgia room, reading a good book in one of the Teen Room nooks, or attending a program in our community room, the Pickens County Library is here for you!

FRIENDS OF THE PICKENS COUNTY LIBRARY
The Friends of the Pickens County Library have gently used books available for purchase any time the library is open! The board members of Friends of the Pickens Library stock the shelves and collect the case and check from the black box near the book display. You can also pay using your credit card and the QR code. The Friends of the Pickens County Library bookshelf is located inside the Pickens County Library.

PICKENS COUNTY LIBRARY EVENTS

Strollers & Stories
May 19, 10:00 AM
Bring your stroller and kids and meet us at Lee Newton Park. We will do a lap, learn about the library, complete a scavenger hunt, and end with a storytime! Children must be accompanied by an adult.

School's Out Summer Bash
May 25, 4:00 PM
School's Out For The SUMMER! Come Celebrate with us at the Pickens County Recreation Department with Party Games and Sweet Treats! This program is for all ages and registration is not required.

Crafting Local Mini-Fest
May 27, 12:00 PM
Love local art and music? Join us at Talking Rock Brewery for our Crafting Local Mini-Fest! This event will feature a local artist marketplace, live music, and family-friendly activities throughout the day. Make sure to visit each artist's booth to learn more about their work and enjoy each local musician. Artists who are interested in participating as a seller or musician must register or email trahanm@seqlib.org.

Themed Adult Book Club
May 28, 3:00 PM
Meet us at Pendley Brewing Company for Themed Book Club. This month's theme is Family Sagas. Ages 21+ encouraged. Stop by Pickens County Library or email moores@seqlib.org for helpful discussion questions and more information.
