[ July 23, 2023 ] UPDATE: Notice posted by the Pickens County Board of Commissioners due to the storm issues and power outages from Thursday, July 20th:
"Beginning tomorrow, the Board of Commissioners would like to announce that the Pickens County Recreation Swimming Pool will be FREE to all Pickens County residents for the remainder of the summer.
The pool hours are from 12 pm - 6 pm on Sunday, and 11 am - 5 pm on Tuesday through Saturday. It will be closed on Mondays.
In addition, the Community Center has air conditioning and public Wi-Fi for citizens that need a cool place to sit and catch up on their emails, social media, and messages. Don't hesitate to use this resource if you need to get out of the heat for a while.
Power crews are all over today and we have Public Works and Utility crews working behind them to ensure that roads are opening as the lines are cleared. It has been great to see so many neighbors helping neighbors throughout the county.
We are proud to represent such an incredible County!"
The last day of the season is Sunday, August 6, 2023.
