[ June 29, 2023 ] Jasper Lions Club's annual Independence Day Celebration 2023 will be held on Tuesday, July 4th in downtown Jasper and Lee Newton Park. Below is information on event including parade application, carnival, fireworks, bingo, and entertainment. Updates will be made as information is provided.

Opens at 5 pm on Friday & Monday
Opens at 3 pm on Saturday & Sunday
JULY 4th opens after the Parade (check back for opening time)

FIREWORKS
July 4th at 10:05 pm from field across from Lee Newton Park in Jasper.

BINGO
Held at the Chamber of Commerce pavilion in Lee Newton Park. Starting at 1 pm on July 4th.

PARADE

This year's parade theme is 'Hurray for the Red, White, and Blue!'

The parade steps off at 11 am on Main Street in downtown Jasper.

PARADE APPLICATION FEE
$15.00 - for applications received on or before June 25, 2023
(Fee includes units of up to 4 vehicles - $5.00/additional vehicle)

$25.00 - for applications received after June 25, 2023, including
the day of the parade
(Fee includes units of up to 4 vehicles - $5.00/additional vehicle)

All floats will be judged on how well they illustrate this year's theme, 'Hurray for the Red, White, and Blue!'.

Certificates and cash prizes (1st Place - $50, 2nd Place - $25) will be awarded to the winners at the bandstand in Lee Newton Park during the 4th of July Celebration Opening Ceremonies immediately following the conclusion of the parade. All winners must claim their prizes at that time. No certificates or prizes will be mailed.

ENTERTAINMENT AT LEE NEWTON PARK STAGE

1:00 PM | Rebecca Hampton/Cowboy Church Dancers will ride in on their horses with a tribute to the armed forces. They perform interpretive dance, as well as, get the audience up to do some line dancing.

1:30 PM | Seth Hubbard (keyboardist & vocalist) joined by Jason Hubbard on guitar. Creates some cool vibes with his Country covers.

2:00 PM | Andy Thacker (vocalist/guitarist) presents a mix of Americana and country music, while working in some acoustic rock and originals, with influences such as John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, and Jason Isbell.

3:00 PM | Joe Logan Band will crank out music of the 50's and 60's, specializing in the blues, soul, R&B and even a bit of surf rock. Joe Logan on vocals and Guitar is joined by Branden Blackwell on vocals and keyboard, Parker Walters on Bass, and Lee Corum on Drums.

4:00 PM | Elliot Gallagher Goodtime Hour serves up traditional country and western with Nick Jacobs and Johnny Stecovich harmonizing and trading off guitar leads.

5:00 PM | The Concept of Creatures--Savannah and James Miller have been performing acoustic melodies together since 2015.
"Music is healing, our lyrics come from the heart, inspired by our journey through life."
This duo consists of James playing intricate acoustic guitar and beautiful harmonies from Savannah. Performing a mix of original and cover songs.

7:00-10:00 PM | Headliner Band -- Cove Creek
Corey Barnett, Marty Robbins, Michael Tippens, Daryl Williams, Seth Gleason, Brian Williams.
