[ June 22, 2023 ] Blueberries were bountiful at the Jasper Farmers Market Saturday. At least four vendors were offering the delicious, nutritious berries including 5 Sons Farm of Talking Rock, Joe Pickering, and Stephen Cain. Zach Henson's table was swaying under the pile of turnips he brought.

The Master Gardeners had a successful tent sale despite canceling last week. Normally, the MG's try for the second Saturday of each month. The plant offerings were bountiful with Oak Leaf hydrangeas, Croscosmia, African Marigolds in two colors, Hosta, Cosmos, Kerria, Marguerite Daisy, Beautyberry, and more. For succulents there were Ice Plant, white sedum, and Autumn sedum which starts blooming in August and goes into Fall. Plus, there were two kinds of grasses; Blue Fescue and Pink Muhly.

The sewing vendors are making waves with their aprons. There are several talented people who sew up a storm of great products. Bee Sisters and Christie's Creations are two who can whip up something special for you.

Brenda Romesburg of Romesburg Glass is capturing nature through color with her unique stained glass picture windows. Red cardinals, black bears, yellow sunflowers and more fill each frame.

You will find many materials used for making arts, crafts, decor, and more at the Jasper Farmers Market located at Lee Newton Park in the Park N Ride parking lot across from the Veterans Memorial Park.

The Farmers Market opens at 7:30 each Saturday morning except October 7th this year. The Summer Farmers Market opens Wednesday, June 21st and runs through August 30th from 11 am to 1 pm. Stop by mid-week for the extra fresh vegetables and a few other extras. The JFM is sponsored by the PCMGs.
