HIGHLIGHT - SUMMER DISCOVERY
Come together this summer at your dynamic destination for discovery - the Sequoyah Regional Library System! Explore your local library in July to participate in awesome programs at no cost featuring live animals, community helper days, community-inspired education programs for all ages (kids, teens, and adults), and much more! Check out our calendar to see all we have planned - you won't want to miss a thing!

SUMMER DISCOVERY FINALE
Join us at the Pickens County Library on July 19 at 2:00pm as we celebrate the Summer Discovery Finale with Wildlife Wonders! We will meet and learn about social and pack animals. All ages are welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult.

FRIENDS OF PICKENS COUNTY LIBRARY
The Friends of the Pickens County Library have gently used books available for purchase any time the library is open! The board members of Friends of the Pickens Library stock the shelves and collect the case and check from the black box near the book display. You can also pay using your credit card and the QR code. The Friends of the Pickens County Library bookshelf is located inside the Pickens County Library.

Book Page Art
July 6, 11:00 AM

Give some oversized coffee table books and cookbooks a second life at our Book Page Art event. We will be turning the beautiful illustrations inside into a new masterpiece. No registration required.

Community Collectors
July 11, 10:30 AM

Do you have a cool collection or a neat hobby? Come show and tell about it at our Community Collectors! Learn about a new hobby or craft and find neighbors with nearby interests. Registration is required to present. Registration will open June 15.

Family Storytime
July 12, 19, & 26, 10:30 AM

Join us at the Pickens County Library on July 12th for Family Storytime with Miss Hannah! We will have a theme with stories, songs, and a craft! Be sure to join us for a fun morning. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

Pickens Rocks! Rock Painting
July 13, 1:00 PM

Show the community how much Pickens Rocks with rock painting! At the Pickens County Library, we will be painting rocks to hide around the town for others to find! All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

Strollers and Stories
July 14, 10:00 AM

Bring your stroller and kids and meet us at Lee Newton Park. We will do a lap, learn about the library, complete a nature activity, and end with a storytime! Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

Life Size Clue: For Teens!
July 18, 5:00 PM

In this program, teens will compete against each other in a life-sized game of clue. They will be split into two teams and given a case to solve through their investigation and puzzle-solving skills. No registration required.

Summer Discovery Finale with Wildlife Wonders!
July 19, 2:00 PM

Celebrate the end of Summer Discovery 2023: All Together Now with Wildlife Wonders! We will meet and learn about social and pack animals. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

Family Board Game Night
July 20, 4:00 PM

Starting at 4pm, stop by the Pickens County Library for a night of various board games! Highlights include Settlers of Catan, Monopoly, Apples to Apples, Chutes and Ladders. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required

Adam Boehmer, Juggler Extraordinaire!
July 21, 3:00 PM

Come to the Pickens County Library and witness first hand the amazing talent of Adam Boehmer as he wows you with his juggling expertise! Highly entertaining and engaging, prepare to be astounded! All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

Dungeons and Dragons 5e

Calling all Adventurers! Your campaign awaits. Whether this is your first game or you're a seasoned player, join us at the Pickens County Library for a Summer One Shot! This program is for adults ages 18 and older. No registration required.
