[ September 26, 2023 ] The Sequoyah Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will again be participating in the Wreaths Across America beginning October 1.

Wreaths purchased will be placed on the graves of Veterans at our National Cemetery in Canton on December 16, 2023.

The mission of Wreaths Across America is "Remember our fallen U.S. Veterans. Honor those who serve. Teach our children the value of freedom."

The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 and has a current membership of more than 190,000 women. The Sequoyah Chapter, based in Pickens County, was founded in 2005 and currently has a membership of 135 women active in promoting patriotism, heritage and serving our veterans through various events and service projects.
