FESTIVAL OF TREES
Participate in our 2023 Festival of Trees! We're so excited to announce that the Pickens County Library will be participating in Sequoyah Regional Library System's 2023 Festival of Trees! Applications for organizations interested in displaying a tree in the Pickens County Library will open October 9 and can be found on our website: SequoyahRegionalLibrary.org.


FRIENDS OF PICKENS COUNTY LIBRARY
The Friends of the Pickens County Library have gently used books available for purchase any time the library is open! The board members of Friends of the Pickens Library stock the shelves and collect the case and check from the black box near the book display. You can also pay using your credit card and the QR code. The Friends of the Pickens County Library bookshelf is located inside the Pickens County Library.

Family Storytime
Join us at the Pickens County Library for Family Storytime with Miss Hannah! We will have a theme with stories, songs, and a craft! Be sure to join us for a fun morning. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

Homeschool Meetup
October 5, 10:30 AM

Gather together with our area's homeschool community. Students can expect a storytime and group meeting followed by age-appropriate breakout group activities. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

First Time Homebuyers
October 5, 6:00 PM

Looking to buy your first home? Stop by Pickens County Library for a first time homebuyers presentation by Amber Ray from NEXA Mortgage. Learn about the home buying process and what documents you will need to get started. No registration required.

Fall STEAM Hour
October 9, 4:00 PM

Join us for an afternoon fall-themed STEAM hour! Various activities, experiments, and crafts will be available. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

Careers Day: Medical Assisting by Chattahoochee Tech
October 10, 11:00 AM

Whether you're changing career fields or looking at future opportunities, join us to learn about the exciting career path of Medical Assisting, presented by Chattahoochee Technical College. No registration required.

Harry Potter Trivia Night
October 12, 6:00 PM

Send an owl to your friends and get together for a night of magic! Study up on your spells, potions and magical creatures and prove you're not a muggle by facing off with other Potter fans in this trivia event for all ages. Join in and show off your knowledge of the books and movies along with your teammates. Our winners will take home Potter-themed prizes! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Solar Eclipse Watch Party

On Saturday October 14th, all of North America will be treated to an eclipse of the sun. Stop by the Pickens County Library for a free pair of solar eclipse glasses and solar eclipse activities. Don't forget your lawn chairs and beach towels! Solar eclipse glasses are available while supplies last. No registration required.

Farm Bureau Family Storytime

Join us at the Pickens County Library for Family Storytime with Miss Hannah and Ms. Rachel! We will have a special pumpkin theme for our story and craft! Be sure to join us for a fun morning. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

Tween/Teen Gaming Drop-In

Stop by the teen space for a teen Drop-In Video Game Program! This is an exciting and inclusive initiative that provides a safe and welcoming space for teens to gather and enjoy their favorite video games. Aimed at fostering a sense of community and camaraderie, this program offers an engaging environment where teenagers can come together to play, socialize, and connect with like-minded peers who share a passion for gaming. Strollers and Stories
