[ October 12, 2023 ] On Saturday, September 9th, Renasant bank and the Community Thrift Store of Pickens County hosted an annual Lunch and Learn training with the participation of their 45 members and volunteers.

Mila Lane, Jasper Branch Manager and Hannah Jones, Assistant Branch Manager conducted a fraud prevention training providing important information and resources to the attendees to help them illustrate and identify potential fraud perpetrators.

Some of the most common situations as unwanted calls, text messages and romance scams, business and government impersonators were some of the topics discussed. Attendees also learn strategies to protect their identity and resources to report any type of fraud to authorities.

Thanks to the donations and community support, The CTS had returned nearly $10 million dollars in profits to 38 nonprofit community organizations that assist the citizens of Pickens County.
