[ October 23, 2023 ] UPDATE 11/5/23: Toys for Tots has exciting news: we found space to hold our Toys for Tots campaign this year. We are fortunate and excited to be located at the Jasper Village Suite 12 between Cricket Wireless and Petsense.

We owe major gratitude to Bill Prentice with L2 Partners and Scott Pennington with Sullivan Wickley for allowing us to use their space at Jasper Village.

The Pickens County Marine Corps League North Georgia Mountain Detachment 1280 will host this annual holiday event.

This will allow us to be actively involved in providing gifts for children throughout Pickens County. We hope to exceed last year's numbers, which were over 4,000 Pickens County children who had Christmas gifts gifted to them. We hope to exceed these numbers.

We want our supporters to help us not only accomplish the mission but greatly exceed ALL expectations.

If you are not aware, over 4,000 Pickens County children had Christmas toys gifted to them in 2022. The Pickens County Marine Corps League North Georgia Mountain Detachment 1280 has hosted the annual holiday Toys for Tots campaign. The detachment has hosted this event for over 10 years.

Through the gift of a new toy or book, Marine Toys for Tots programs bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to Pickens County's unfortunate children. Over 19,000 toys were distributed throughout Pickens County last year.

Besides the Pickens County children, the program has also helped numerous non-profit organizations. The campaign has supported Head Start, local churches, foster homes, GA State Patrol, Red Cross, and other entities.

We are astounded by the support provided by our supporters that helped us not only accomplish the mission but greatly exceed ALL expectations. However, this year, we are at an impasse. We have been unable to locate space to support the campaign this year. We need a building/space minimum of 1,000 square feet for two months, November and December.

Unfortunately, we have located empty spaces throughout the county. However, we are still waiting for return calls. Please get in touch with our coordinator, Amy Brannon, at 706-502-1028 if you know a building/SPACE that can be used this year.
