WINTER LITERACY
Why should summer get all the fun? Snuggle up with a good book this winter at your dynamic destination for discovery - the Sequoyah Regional Library System! Check out your local library through January 31 to participate in wonderfully cozy programs at no cost for all ages (kids, teens, and adults)!

NEW EXPERIENCE PASSES AVAILABLE FOR CHECKOUT
All SRLS libraries now have Experience Passes to the Atlanta History Center, the Shakespeare Tavern, the Computer Museum of America, and Woodstock Arts available for checkout!

FRIENDS OF PICKENS COUNTY LIBRARY
The Friends of the Pickens County Library have gently used books available for purchase any time the library is open! The board members of Friends of the Pickens Library stock the shelves and collect the case and check from the black box near the book display. You can also pay using your credit card and the QR code. The Friends of the Pickens County Library bookshelf is located inside the Pickens County Library.

LEGO Lab
January 3, 4:00 PM

LEGO Lab is back at Pickens County Library! Join us after school for a fun and creative activity. LEGO Creations will be used to help to decorate our library! Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Seinfeld Trivia at Pendley Creek Brewing
January 5, 7:00 PM

Join us at Pendley Creek Brewing in downtown Jasper for an evening of "Seinfeld" themed trivia! Form a team for a battle of the wits covering America's most popular sitcom! Stick around afterwards for our Pop-Up Library, where you can get a library card and check out a book! This program is for adults.

Reading Dog Visit
January 9, 4:00 PM

On Tuesday January 9th, sign your child up to read to our Reading Dog, Baron, for 15 minutes in a stress-free environment to help grow confident reading. Time slots run between 4:00-5:00pm.

Registration is required and will open December 15.

Family Storytime
January 10, 17, & 24, 10:30 AM

Join us at the Pickens County Library on January 10th for our first Family Storytime with Miss Hannah of 2024! We will have a theme with stories, songs, and a craft! Be sure to join us for a fun morning. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Resume Workshop
January 11, 5:30 PM

Start your new year off right with a new career! Stop by our resume workshop to brush up resume and job search skills. Bring a copy of your most recent resume for critique and notes.

Farm Bureau Family Storytime
January 12, 10:30 AM

Join us at the Pickens County Library on January 12 for Family Storytime with Miss Hannah and Ms. Rachel! We will have a special theme for our story and craft! Be sure to join us for a fun morning. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Mushroom Cultivation with Ellijay Mushrooms
January 18, 6:00 PM

Ellijay Mushrooms is stopping by the Pickens County Library to talk about the fascinating world of Mushroom Cultivation. Learn about the benefits of mushrooms and how to grow mushrooms.

Dungeons and Dragons 5e
January 25, 5:00 PM

Want to learn to play Dungeons and Dragons but don't know where to start? Register today to join our Session Zero, where we will start from the ground up, creating new characters and learning some basics. Dungeons & Dragons players of all ages are welcome but please keep in mind that this program may be too advanced for younger children.

Registration is required and will open December 15.

BINGO with Friends!
January 26, 10:00 AM

B-I-N-G-O! All are invited to stop by the Pickens County Library for a fabulous game of BINGO! Winners will receive Bookstore Bucks to our Friends of the Library Book Sale!
