Jasper Kroger Evacuated, Declared Safe After Threat

[ March 31, 2025 ] Earlier today, public safety personnel responded to an incident at Kroger in which personnel at Kroger called E911 to report a threatening call indicating a bomb in the store.

Out of an abundance of caution, law enforcement and emergency responders were immediately notified, and the premises were evacuated while authorities conducted a thorough investigation.

After a comprehensive search and assessment, officials have determined there is no credible threat, and the area has been declared safe. Normal operations resumed at approximately 6:00pm.

We extend our gratitude to local law enforcement (K9-Units from Pickens County Sheriff's Office, Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, Dawson County Sheriff's Office, Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, Hall County Sheriff's, Woodstock Police Department) emergency responders, E911 communications and all those involved in ensuring the safety of our community.

We also appreciate the patience and cooperation of everyone affected during this process.
