FRIENDS of the Pickens County Library
The Friends of the Pickens County Library have gently used books available for purchase any time the library is open! The board members of Friends of the Pickens Library stock the shelves and collect the case and check from the black box near the book display. You can also pay using your credit card and the QR code. The Friends of the Pickens County Library bookshelf is located inside the Pickens County Library.

Tiny Tots & Toddlers
August 5, 10:00 AM

Join us for story time designed specially for infants, toddlers and their caregivers! This program will feature a mix of stories, songs, dances, crafts, and activities. Our program is planned to stimulate their imagination, promote early literacy skills, and encourage social interaction.

How to: Crochet a Granny Square
August 7, 5:30 PM

Learn how to create a crocheted granny square and create a fun plant hanger to take home and fill with a plant of your very own. Basic crochet knowledge is encouraged. Registration is required.

Baron the Reading Dog
August 11, 4:00 PM

Join us at Pickens County Library to read to Baron the Reading Dog! This program helps with building confidence in reading and for speaking in public. Register for a 15 minute slot to read in a stress-free environment. Time slots run between 4:00-5:30pm. Bring a book or pick one from the library. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Wiggle Giggle Play

The Wiggle Giggle Play Program is a fun and interactive initiative designed to help toddlers and infants play, stay active, and socialize. With engaging activities and games, this program encourages children to move, laugh, and bond with their peers in a safe and supportive environment. All children must be accompanied with an adult caregiver.

Dungeons & Dragons
August 12, 5:00 PM

Calling all Adventurers! Your campaign awaits. Whether this is your first game or you're a seasoned player, join us at the Pickens County Library for a One Shot! Registration Required.

Family Storytime
August 13, 10:00 AM

Bring the family! This special time is planned for families with children of all ages. This month's theme is Community. There will be storytime, followed by interactive fun with songs and finishing up with a craft! All children must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Plants & Paints
August 15, 3:00 PM

Join the Pickens County Master Gardeners for an informative and fun session learning about Plants/Gardening and creating your own art! Learn about the Native Flower of the Month & "Native Trees and Shrubs." Registration is required.

Pop-Up Storytime: Jasper City Park
August 18, 10:00 AM

Join us at the park for a storytime and afterwards visit our Pop-Up Library to get a new card, return your books, or borrow new ones!

Mini Musicians
August 19, 10:00 AM

Introducing Mini Musicians, a fun and interactive music program designed for toddlers and preschoolers! Our classes focus on introducing young children to the world of music through movement and exploration of various instruments. Join us and watch as your little one develops rhythm, coordination, and a lifelong appreciation for the power of music.

DIY Mini Notebooks
August 19, 4:00 PM

Create your own miniature notebook with bullet journal paper and a fun fabric cover. Perfect for keeping in your bag or pocket for jotting down your thoughts, assignments, or grocery list.

Farm Bureau Storytime
August 21, 4:00 PM

Join us for a storytime and craft with our friends from the Farm Bureau. No registration required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

B-I-N-G-O! All are invited to stop by the Pickens County Library for a fabulous game of BINGO! Winners will receive Bookstore Bucks to our Friends of the Library Book Sale!
