September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month
Celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month with Sequoyah Regional Library System! Anyone who lives, pays taxes, or owns property in Cherokee, Pickens, or Gilmer County is eligible to receive a free library card for use throughout the Sequoyah Regional Library System.
A library card with SRLS is your ticket to discovery! Check out physical and digital books, audiobooks, and magazines as well as experience passes for free admission to local attractions (such as History Cherokee and Woodstock Arts), Chromebooks, WiFi hotspots, and so much more! Beginning this September, anyone who signs-up for a SRLS library card will have the option to choose from one of our newly designed library cards! Library card designs will be announced on our Facebook and Instagram on September 1. We look forward to seeing you at the library!

Teen Craft: Library Card Keychains & Bracelets

Teens! Celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month by joining us at the Pickens County Library to make your own keychain or bracelet that will keep track of your library card in style. All materials provided while supplies last. No registration required. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Friends of the Pickens County Library book sale takes place at Pickens County Library Saturday, September 6. 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM will be open to members of the Friends of the Pickens County Library; become a member at the door! Public sale is from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
Tiny Tots & Toddlers

Join us for story time designed specially for infants, toddlers and their caregivers! This program will feature a mix of stories, songs, dances, crafts, and activities. Our program is planned to stimulate their imagination, promote early literacy skills, and encourage social interaction.

Local Author Market

Interested in discovering new local authors or are a local author yourself and want to show off your work? Join us for our annual Local Author Market! This event will feature a local author marketplace that encourages patron and author connection. Make sure to visit each author's table to learn more about their work. Authors who are interested in participating as a seller must register using the link below.
Baron the Reading Dog

Join us at Pickens County Library to read to Baron the Reading Dog! This program helps with building confidence in reading and for speaking in public. Register for a 15 minute slot to read in a stress-free environment. Time slots run between 4:00-5:30pm. Bring a book or pick one from the library. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Wiggle Giggle Play

The Wiggle Giggle Play Program is a fun and interactive initiative designed to help toddlers and infants play, stay active, and socialize. With engaging activities and games, this program encourages children to move, laugh, and bond with their peers in a safe and supportive environment.
