[ October 13, 2026 ] Get ready, North Georgia... the Georgia Mountain Charity Comic Con is coming back to Jasper... and this year's show promises to be twice as big and twice the fun! It's an event that is a definite "must-see" for all ages.
The 2nd Annual show being held at Chattahoochee Tech in Jasper on Oct. 23-24 will feature award-winning artists, actors, and authors to sign your favorite works; multiple panels with mind-blowing topics to interact with the experts; a cosplay competition for cash prizes; a Magic tournament with cash awards; art and photography contests; great food options; and of course a huge variety of artists and vendors with their unique treasures you don't find anywhere else. Our charity is the Pickens County Public Library. As partners with the library, we have donated thousands and will continue to do so with each and every event we hold.
Hours of the show are 4-10 pm on Friday and 10 am - 8 pm Saturday. Online ticket prices are $12 for one day, $22 for both days; door prices are $15 and $25. Students ages 13-18 are 1/2 price, and kids 12 and under are free. All first responders and military with ID get 1/2 price. Order your tickets now and skip the line at www.gamountaincharitycomiccon.com and click on tickets.
Are you a Power Rangers fan? You're in luck! We will have a full team of Power Rangers folks including the Black Power Ranger, illustrators, stage and prop managers, and more to fill you in on just how the show was done. It's a rare opportunity to meet the folks behind and in front of the camera for the whole story.
Like Sentry? Award-winning author Paul Jenkins will be available with many of his works from Sentry, Ninja Turtles, Batman, and Spider-Man for you to get your own signed copy. His down-home British accent will charm you as you hear his many tales.
Another big addition to our guest list is the 501st Legion. Come meet members of this Star Wars fan-based organization who are known for their screen-accurate replicas of what you see on the big screen. You will think you have traveled to distant lands! And speaking of travel... come step into the full-sized TARDIS phone booth complete with sound effects! To see our complete list of guests and their bios, go to our site at www.gamountaincharitycomiccon.com.
Saturday will feature two contests for those who dare... Cosplay competition starts at 4 pm. Two categories: kids and adults with cash prizes. Judging will be by crowd appeal, so bring your friends to cheer you on! A Magic tournament with cash prizes will begin registration at noon. There is a $5 entry fee. Our Friday Night Magic gameplay, which is normally held at Comics Cards and Collectibles, will be held at the con on Friday night starting at 7:00 pm. Entry fee is $5.
Other contests include an art contest for students ages 6-18 and a photography contest open to all. Both offer cash prizes. Art entries should be of your favorite superhero. Check the website for full details.
If you have never been to a Comic Con, now is your chance to see the magic and feel like a kid again. There's something there for everyone of all ages, so mark your calendars now! We will see you there!
