60 Bikes in the ride
Proceeds from the ride divided between the Patriot Guard Riders and the TN2 Chapter of Rolling Thunder. Both of these are in support of our Troops, Veterans and our fallen Heroes.
Rolling Thunder Tennesse 2Mission: The major function of Rolling Thunder, Inc. is to publicize the POW-MIA issue: To educate the public that many American Prisoners of war were left behind after all previous wars and to help correct the past and to protect future Veterans from being left behind should they become prisoners of war-missing in action. We are also committed to helping American Veterans from all wars.
The Patriot Guard Riders main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:
Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors
American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. is an organization of mothers who have lost a son or daughter in the service of our country. Irene Franklin, from Ringgold, lost her son in Vietnam and attended the ride. Lynn Dean, David's mom, is president of the Scenic Chapter.
