Zeb McAllister, Ryan Payne & Chief Steve Roper with the Jasper Fire Department already keep their hair closely shaved, but this Saturday their going for bald to help children with cancer.
Mt. Zion Baptist Church is hosting 'Be a Hero for Kids with Cancer!' fundraiser for St. Baldrick's Foundation this Saturday, April 5th from 10 a.m. to Noon.
St. Baldrick's Foundation started in 1999 when business colleagues decided to give back after their own good fortune. The thick hair of one sparked the idea. Over $100 million has been raised for childhood cancer research grants since 2005.
