Pickens County Sheriff’s Auxiliary Unit is pleased to announce the Mr. Ned Hillhouse of Jasper is now the proud owner of the John Deere Gator that was raffled off by the Auxiliary. The winning ticket was drawn at the Sheriff’s JeepFest on Saturday, September 6th. Congratulations, Mr. Hillhouse!

The Sheriff’s Auxiliary would like to thank the following “Win a Gator” Sponsors for their contribution and support: 7:13 Services, Day’s Chevrolet, FLECO Attachments, Sacketts Western Wear and Snead Ag John Deere. The Auxiliary also appreciates the support of several Pickens businesses that provided support and use of their facilities for raffle ticket sales: Appalachian Gun & Pawn, Bigun’s BarBeQue, Bojangles’, Rocco’s Pub, Sheryl Messner CPA, Tractor Supply, Walgreen’s and Zack’s Trailers & Accessories.

Community participation in the Raffle was fantastic! Sheriff Donnie Craig and Ray Jackson, Sheriff’s Auxiliary President, want to express their appreciation to all of those individuals who have purchased raffle tickets. The funds that were raised will be used for public safety equipment for the Sheriff’s Office staff to better serve the community. The Sheriff’s Auxiliary is looking forward to community participation in next year’s public safety fund raiser.
