Locally owned and family operated Coco’s Cottage located in the heart of Downtown Jasper, Georgia has been nominated for the Independent We Stand Small Business of the Year Award. This award is nationally recognized by Small Businesses in all fifty (50) U.S. States and the District of Columbia. Currently there are over 180 small businesses all over the U.S. that are in the running for this award.

Independent We Stand is all about independently owned businesses across the country reaching out to their communities and educating their neighbors about the many benefits of "Buy Local, Shop Local" ideas.

You can support your local economy by shopping small businesses. Buy their products. Eat their food. Use their services. In turn, these locally owned and operated businesses will continually pump your hard-earned dollars back into the local economy by way of taxes, payrolls and purchases. This means more money for roads, schools, services and new jobs in our communities.

Independent We Stand recognizes all socially responsible businesses, both large and small. The movement focuses on helping the little guys not just survive, but thrive and all the while helping them contribute to their communities.

The owners of Coco’s Cottage, Nancy & John Watkins, think money spent in your community should largely stay here, not always go home with strangers who hail from heaven knows where.

Nancy & John Watkins opened the doors of Coco’s Cottage at 30 N. Main Street just over 3 years ago and offer ladies fine clothing and other accessories. Besides all of the beautiful clothing items and one of the best dressed window displays in Downtown. You will not find more helpful people and the best in customer service in the retail business. Nancy’s knowledge of designer clothes and John’s eye for putting together outfits makes Coco’s Cottage a must visit on any shopper's list.

Besides the family environment, Coco's Cottage goes above and beyond when it comes to giving back to the community. They support a number of causes that are integral to the citizens of Pickens County. Besides caring for the city they do business in, Coco’s Cottage is a firm believer in the "Buy Local, Shop Local" philosophy.
