Public Meeting on Mountain Bike Trails
Tuesday, April 5th, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m
Mountain bikers, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone interested in the trails at the Talking Rock Nature Preserve are invited to a meeting Tuesday, April 5th, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the commissionersí meeting room of the county admin building on East Church Street.
The meeting will be an open forum for discussion of trail work at the 211-acre park held by Southeastern Trust for Parks and Land (STPAL) on the west side of Highway 515 at the Gilmer County line.
Trail designers will be on hand to discuss possible configurations of trails there.
The land trust director has indicated they hope to open a five-mile loop there with the potential of adding more trails in the future. The land trust has also discussed plans of opening a Frisbee (disc) golf course on the same property.
