Labor Day in the Gardens, the Return of Saturday Evening Twilight Events and The Monet Waterlily Festival

September is a beautiful time to visit Gibbs Gardens. Fall flowers blanketing the Gardens include roses, annuals, perennials and hundreds of waterlilies, both hardy and exotic. The Wildflower Meadow comes alive with native goldenrod and asters.
Beginning Saturday, September 3, our visitor-favorite Twilight Series returns. Enjoy live music from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Capture the magic of twilight as you stroll the Gardens taking breathtaking photos or relaxing on one of the many benches. Take a night off from cooking and delight in a pre-ordered gourmet dinner and a glass of wine. The Arbor Café will also be offering its delectable fare.
September 3, Saturday, 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Twilight in the Gardens. The LooSe ShoEs Band returns to rock the Grove stage with the Rock ‘n Roll and Blues songs you know. Remember to pre-order your gourmet box dinner early while they’re still available.
September 5, Labor Day, 12:30 – 3:30 pm, Let our Strolling Musicians serenade you with the sweet sounds only heard from classical flutists, violinists and harpists.
September 10 and 1l, Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Artisans and crafters are in residence for the biannual Arts and Crafts Show. Pick up something for yourself, a loved one or a special friend.
September 10, Saturday, 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Twilight in the Gardens.
The Gardens welcome the Muckers, a five-piece folk-rock band entertaining with traditional Irish music, Zydeco, sea shanties, country and rockabilly. Pre-ordered gourmet box dinners will be available. Order early!
September 17, Saturday, 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Twilight in the Gardens.
The Gardens is excited to welcome Barry Waldrep and Kelli Johnson, stars in their own right, playing a blend of Bluegrass, Country and Americana. Pre-order your gourmet box dinner before our caterers run out.
September 22, Thursday, 11:00 am – Learn about Perennials for Shade from expert horticulturist Erica Glasener.
September 24-25, Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm. The Monet Waterlily Festival with Fine Arts offered for sale
and a French Market with locally sourced products. Live music,
mimes and face painting. French food, both savory and sweet, for purchase. Bring the family! Stay for the day!
*Festival continues the first weekend in October
Gibbs Gardens is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. Our gates close at 4 p.m. On September Saturdays, the Gardens will be open until 8:00 p.m., with our gates closing at 7:30 p.m.
