Pickens Ferst Jail & Bail
4/24/2018
Pickens Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy arrested Twelve Most Wanted suspects and brought to the Old Historic Jail on North Main Street on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Over $20,000 was raised.
Local law enforcement picked them up and brought them before the "judge" on the Jail house steps. There they heard the charges against them and their bail set. These community-minded citizens remained in jail until their bail was paid.
All bail monies will be donated to Pickens Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy and will be used locally to fund the program that provides free age-appropriate books with literacy support materials to over 1000 Pickens County children under the age of 5 each month.
