8/21/2018 ~ by Sue Appleton, Jasper Optimist Club, PR Chair
The Optimist Club of Jasper presented their annual donations to 15 local organizations at their two August meetings held at 61 Main Restaurant.
Each year the club holds 3 fundraisers including the annual pecan sale in November, their golf tournament in May and their Flapjack Run in June. Through these fundraisers they are able to fund numerous service projects as well as make donations to organizations that help support their mission of "bringing out the best in kids". This year these 15 organizations received over $8,000.00 in total.
