The Pickens Chamber of Commerce April breakfast program was the State of the Community with speakers Commissioner Chairman Rob Jones, Mayor John Weaver, Superintendent Dr. Carlton Wilson, and Sheriff Donnie Craig.

Senator Steve Gooch, Senator Chuck Payne, and Representative Rick Jasperse presented a 1.8 million check to Commissioner Chairman Rob Jones for repair of Jones Mountain Road that was closed on February 22, 2019 due to a washout.
